For EP Week, Canada’s national public alert system Alert Ready will be sending out a test alert on Wednesday, 8, 2024, to Canadians in the following provinces and territories:
Canadians will receive a test alert from Alert Ready on their TV, radio, or compatible wireless devices. Alert Ready’s goal is to deliver life-saving and critical warnings to Canadians, such as tornadoes, floods, fires, AMBER alerts, and more. In 2023, Alert Ready distributed 1086 alerts across the country.
