Who we are
FirstLocalNews.Com is a registered Ontario, Canada corporation operating a local media platform under the domain http://s964290246.onlinehome.us as well as a video platform ONNtv.

Personal identification information
By default, our Site does not collect any personal data about visitors.
When registering for free or voluntary paid subscription user account, we will collect your name, email address, username, and password. This information is used to setup your account for our site. If you are redirected to an offsite payment gateway to complete your payment, we may store this information in a temporary session variable to setup your account when you return to our Site.
At checkout, we may also collect your billing address and phone number. This information is used to confirm your credit card. The billing address and phone number are saved by our Site to pre-populate the checkout form for future purchases and so we can get in touch with you if needed to discuss your order.
We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities such as commenting, posting job opportunities, posting events, purchasing event tickets or submitting contact forms.
When users leave comments on the Ste, we collect the data shown in the comments form and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
When visitors report a comment, the comment ID will be stored in a cookie in the browser. Also, the IP address will be saved temporarily in the database together with the number of reports.
Non-personal identification information
If you upload images to the Site, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the Site.
If you leave a comment on our Site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this Site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
How we use collected information
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
If you post an event or job opportunity, the information you supplied and its metadata are retained until at such time that the posting has expired and is purged from the Site.
For users that register on our Site (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). With the exception of passwords, Site administrators can also see and edit that information.
To process payments
We may use the information Users provide about themselves when placing an order only to provide a product or service to that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide the service.
To personalize user experience
We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our Users as a group use the services and resources provided on this Site.
To improve our Site
We may use feedback you provide to improve our products and services.
To run a promotion, contest, survey or other Site feature
To send Users information they agreed to receive about topics we think will be of interest to them.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this Site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
How we protect your data
We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site.
Sensitive and private data exchange between the Site and its Users happens over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures.
Sharing your personal information
We do not sell, trade, or rent visitor or users data to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.
What data breach procedures we have in place
We have internal and external procedures and reporting in place to deal with both potential and real data breaches. We utilize a number of layered hardware appliances and software applications at both the network and server levels to help protect both our Site and the data we collect from visitors and users.
Third party websites
Visitors and users may find advertising or other content on our Site that link to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, license and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Site. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Site, is subject to that website’s own privacy and terms policies.
