Ferry Service to Neebish Island will be reduced as the summer season approaches. Earlier this year the Eastern U.P. Transportation Authority, who oversees the operation of the Ferry, was informed by the US Coast Guard the service was out of compliance when running beyond a 12-hour shift for their limited personal. The decision came at the monthly board meeting of the EUPTA held Tuesday, which several people held signs up in protest of the service cuts.
