U.S. First Lady Jill Biden will make a stop in the upper peninsula Friday to tour the Soo Locks in Sault Michigan.
Her Michigan tour along with Douglas Emhoff, the husband of Vice President Kamala Harris began today at various events in Marguette.
On Friday, the First Lady will fly to Sault Ste. Marie Michigan where she will speak at an event held by By Mills Indian Community and the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Biden is then expected to tour the progress of construction of the new super lock that the Federal government has funded.
