State of Emergency Declared For Southwest Michigan

Governor Whitmer declared a state of emergency in Southwest Michigan after a Tuesday night storm system swept through the area bringing with it at least two tornadoes and hail recorded up to 4 inches in diameter.

There has been significant damage to buildings and homes. First responders and emergency crews have been on site and as of this morning while several injuries have been reported as a result of the storms there have been no reported deaths.
