On April 28, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 28-year-old Harshdeep Singh with operation while impaired, theft and mischief.
Around 8:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received multiple reports of a vehicle being driven erratically on Second Line West before stopping at a gas station. The accused got out of the vehicle, pumped some gas into the vehicle, then drove off without paying and with the nozzle still in the vehicle; damaging the gas pump.
Officers located the vehicle a short time later and safely conducted a traffic stop. Officers developed grounds to believe the accused’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol and they were arrested.
The accused provided two breath samples into an approved screening device, both registering above the legal limit.
The accused is charged with:
• Operation While Impaired – Drug and/or Alcohol
• Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80+
• Theft Under $5,000
• Mischief
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on May 27, 2024.
