Serious Injuries in Wemyss Street Shooting

Detectives with Investigation Services are actively investigating a shooting which took place in the 0-100 block of Wemyss Street.

Around 12:00 a.m. 911 Communicators received calls of possible gunfire at a residence in the 0-100 block of Wemyss Street. Upon arrival officers with Patrol Services secured the scene. Officers found two victims with injuries from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to hospital. One victim with life threatening injuries, the other with serious injuries.

During the early stages of the investigation the shooting is believed to be an isolated incident.

Officers remain on scene as the investigation is ongoing.
