Suspect Assaults Employee Gets Tracked Down

On January 28, 2024, officers with Patrol Services, with assistance from the Emergency Services Unit and Canine Unit, charged 28-year-old Daniel Campbell with assault and failure to comply with probation order.

Shortly after midnight, 911 Communicators received a report of an assault at a business in the 600 block of Second Line West. Officers were dispatched to the business. Investigation revealed the accused had assaulted an employee when asked to leave the business, pushing them into a glass display and into a wall, causing minor physical injuries. Although the accused had left prior to officers’ arrival, they were located by a canine track and arrested.

The accused is charged with:

  • Assault
  • Failure to Comply with Probation Order

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on March 18, 2024.
