On January 28, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged a 13-year-old youth with assault and mischief.
Around 9:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of an altercation on Queen Street East between Gore Street and Tancred Street. Upon arrival, officers learned the accused had thrown the victim’s phone on the ground before throwing the victim on the ground and kicking their head multiple times, causing minor physical injuries. The accused and the victim are known to one another. The accused was arrested.
The accused is charged with:
- Assault
- Mischief – Under $5,000
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on March 26, 2024.
