On May 29, 2024, officers with Patrol Services, with assistance from the Emergency Services Unit, charged a 14-year-old with assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
Around 3:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a youth walking through the halls of an elementary school with scissors, approaching people in a threatening way and verbally threatening to harm them if they called police. Officers responded, searched the building, and confirmed the accused left school property prior to officers’ arrival. No one at the school sustained physical injuries.
Officers located the accused at their residence, and they were arrested.
The accused is charged with:
- Assault With Weapon
- Uttering Threats
- Failure to Comply with Release Order
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
