Youth Charged With Arson

On February 16, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged a 14-year-old youth with arson, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats.

Around 3:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a shed on fire in the 300 block of Cathcart Street. Officers were dispatched to the residence, where they saw the shed fully engulfed in flames. Investigation revealed the accused started the fire and tried to assault someone known to them with a hammer and a utility knife while verbally threatening them. The victim did not sustain any physical injuries; however, the shed was destroyed, and the fire caused damage to nearby property.

The accused is charged with:

  • Assault With Weapon x2
  • Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Arson – Damage to Property

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 16, 2024.

    Time for Trudeau to resign in shame before the country is in total shambles.
