Willie Poll does it again!

My Little Ogichidaa - An Indigenous Lullaby

The brilliantly articulate Willie Poll is back again with another children’s book that once again, touches on topics sensitive to the Indigenous communities with her deft ability to deliver messages of acknowledgement in non-threatening terms, while also weaving in a note of hope for the future.

“My Little Ogichidaa – An Indigenous Lullaby” is inspired by motherhood and invites readers to explore the dreams and hopes of an Indigenous parent for her soon-to-be newborn.

Beautifully written by Poll and lavishly illustrated by artist Hawlii Pichette, the book includes an area where purchasers can inscribe a message to whomever the book is being gifted to — for truly, it is an epic give of history, culture and a message of possibility for the future. “My Little Ogichidaa – An Indigenous Lullaby” along with Poll’s other works are available for purchase now.

In a Zoom interview, Willie Poll discusses her inspirations for this book (just released and available for purchase) as well as her work as Director of Education for the Moosehide Campaign.
