WHORRALL, Wayne

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Warrant Officer (Ret’d) Wayne Whorrall on November 27, 2023, in Goulais River, Ont, at the age of 62.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Susan (nee Mills); his children, Bonnie (Tom-Kee) and Brandon; his grandchildren, Sarah, Aubrey, Hannah, Rylee, Arianna, Jade and Dexter; his brothers Greg Whorrall and Bryan Mallett as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Son of the late Greta (nee Telford) and David K Whorrall; Wayne was born on June 9, 1961, in London, Ont. Wayne joined the Canadian Forces as a young man, first as a Firefighter and later moving up into the role of Sensor Operator with the Royal Canadian Airforce. This granted Wayne the opportunity to travel the world. Wayne retired in 2001 after more than 20 years of service.

Wayne’s passions included his family, hockey and his love for the outdoors, which he shared with his children, often spending the summer months fishing and camping. These remain some of our fondest memories.

There will be no service as per Wayne’s request.

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways
Of Happy times and laughing times and bright sunny days
I’d like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun
of all the happy memories I leave when life is done.

Love you Daddy.
