On June 28, 2023, officers with Patrol Services charged 26-year-old Jared Pineda of London, Ontario with possession of weapons for a dangerous purpose, among other charges.
Around 11:45 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a disturbance, possibly with a weapon involved, in the 400 block of Great Northern Road. Officers were dispatched to the location. Through an investigation, officers determined there was an altercation between the accused and two other people, and the accused was reported to have a gun. The accused was placed under investigative detention.
Further investigation found the accused to be in possession of an air soft gun , along with a collapsible baton and approximately 21 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine with an approximate street value of $2,110. The accused was arrested.

- Possession of Weapons for Dangerous Purpose x2
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Failure to Comply with Undertaking
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing. They were released and are scheduled to appear in court on August 14, 2023.
