The Newberry Merry Christmas Celebration will take place tonight starting at 6pm with the parade of lights.
Line up starts at 5:15pm at the Tahquamenon Outdoor Recreation Complex, just north of Newberry, and move south down Newberry Avenue to American Legion Post 74.
A community-wide celebration will take place follow with the lighting of the lighting of the Official Newberry Christmas Tree, a free community meal, family fun and a visit with Santa!
Businesses and community members have been encouraged to enter a float in the Parade of Lights featuring a $500 first place cash prize, $300 cash for second place and $200 cash for third place!
