Stolen Vehicle Used In Crash

On February 13, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 30-year-old William Wynne with theft of a motor vehicle and several other offences.

Around 10:45 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a vehicle crashing through a fence in the 0-100 block of Ferris Avenue, causing a significant amount of damage to the property. The accused was seen exiting the vehicle and running away after the crash.

Investigation revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen earlier that morning from the parking lot of a business in the 200 block of Great Northern Road.

With assistance from the Canine Unit, officers conducted a canine track from the scene of the collision and located the accused in the 200 block of Albert Street East. They were arrested.

The accused is charged with:

  • Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • Mischief Over $5,000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Failure to Comply with Probation Order

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 8, 2024.
