Sault College Honours Graduates at its 2023 Fall Convocation Ceremony

On Friday, the Sault College community joined together to celebrate the remarkable achievements of more than 240 of their most recent graduates. This year, the fall convocations will honour more than 680 graduates from a variety of program areas across all their campuses.  

“Convocation is a true reflection of our graduates’ hard work and dedication. Today as we gather as a college community, we reflect on the journey of our learners and we are reminded that the future is paved with opportunities for learning, discovery, and personal growth,” said David Orazietti, President, Sault College. “As our graduates step into new phases of their lives, we encourage them to continue striving for excellence and to use their experiences from Sault College to positively impact their respective industries and communities. On behalf of Sault College, we congratulate all our graduates.”

At their Sault Ste. Marie campus, the convocation ceremony celebrated graduates from Sault College’s Aviation, Business, Community Services, Engineering Technology, Health, School of Natural Environment, and Continuing Education program areas. Keynote speaker, Neetu Neetu, Business Owner, Professor, Clinical Instructor, addressed guests with an inspiring speech.

As part of the ceremony, the Korahster’s Choir led attendees in the singing of the national anthem as well as celebrated graduates with a dedication song. In keeping with Sault College tradition, the platform party guests, faculty and graduate procession was led by the Lone Piper, Kevin Ullrich. Following the presentation of liripipes and credentials, Nimkii Aankwat and the Enji Maawnjiding Dancers led the recessional.

Graduates, along with their families and friends, celebrated this special occasion with a reception immediately following the convocation ceremony.

In addition to this ceremony, various other Sault College graduates in programs located outside of the Sault Ste. Marie campus will be celebrated, including: the Toronto and Brampton Campuses on November 23 and 24, 2023.

Sault College congratulates all their graduates and wishes them all the best as they embark on a new life journey.
