The 61st edition of the Ontario Winter Carnival Bon Soo, presented by OLG, opens this Friday, Feb. 2 with official opening ceremonies gates open at at 5 p.m.
This year, due to extremely mild weather conditions, Bon Soo’s classic bum slides will not be available. “we’re excited to announce a twist on the traditional programming to ensure an exciting winter carnival for all. ” the Bon Soo committee said in a release Thursday morning
This year’s Kids’ Zone at The Machine Shop will feature rock climb slides, carnival-style games, inflatables, laser tag, axe throwing and more! The Kids’ Zone will open Friday, Feb. 2 at 5 pm and there will be local vendors including temporary tattoo station, BeaverTails and Hogan’s Homestead maple taffy making, Roolz Vending, and free Country Style hot chocolate .
