We go from an ideal Spring day yesterday to a miserable couple of days ahead, including today. Starting with some clouds then scattered showers this morning and afternoon. Expect some brisk winds from the east as well. Temperatures a little on the cool side for our daytime high. Showers redevelop for this evening and overnight.

1492 Christopher Columbus signs a contract with the Spanish monarchs to find the “Indies” with the stated goal of converting people to Catholicism. This promises him 10% of all riches found, and the governorship of any lands encountered.
