(76), of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023.
Brian, was born to Ellis and Dorothy Lindsey on April 21, 1947, in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Brian loved sports, including gymnastics, swimming, skiing, and golfing. Brian moved to Sault Ste. Marie to teach at Lakeway in 1971, and soon after met Fiorine Lindsey. Brian worked both as a high school and college math teacher, as well as an electrician at Algoma Steel in the Sault. He always enjoyed teaching his sons about everything he loved and learned.
Brian is survived by his wife of 51 years, Fiorine Lindsey, and his two sons, David and Benjamin Lindsey and their partners Aliesha Greco and Lyndsay Cooper, along with grandchildren Nixon, Nash, Maryn, and Nora Lindsey. He is also survived by his sisters Judy Johnston and Sandra Lindsey, and brother Dale Lindsey, and brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Debbie Tremblay.
Brian was forever curious, free-spirited, and a life-learner through reading, travel, and countless conversations with family, friends, and strangers. Above all, Dad valued the importance of family, and cherished time with his wife, sons, grandchildren, and relatives. Brian was a devoted husband, loving Father, and “fun-loving” grandfather. Brian will always be in our hearts and never forgotten.
Brian’s family will host a visitation from 10:30 am to 12:45 pm and funeral service 1:00 pm with Fr. Jeff Shannon officiating on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. – 705-759-2522).
