We are deeply sorrowed to announce the passing of Judy Jolie on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the Sault Area Hospital with her family by her side at the age of 81.
Judy is reunited with her husband, Gaston Jolie as well as her son Scott Daynard.
Survived by her son Richard Daynard as well as daughter-in-law Peggy (Joe). Stepmother of Beverly Keough (Earl), Roxanne Jolie, Joanne Jolie, Michelle McBride, late Patty Jolie, Jacqueline Murphy, Shirley Jolie (Arthur), Sadie Grant and the late Billie Jolie. Cherished grandma of 22, great-grandma of 38 and many great-great grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Luke Jolie, Roger Jolie (Eleanor), late Irene and late Phil Demers.
Daughter of the late Russell and Dorothy Alton. Dearest sister of Patricia Alton (late Ron), Bill Alton (Mary), Bonnie Robertson (Steve), late Donalda Davison (late Eric).
Thanks go out to Dr. Culina, Dr. Booth and a special thank you to Dr. Wolner for your care of Judy at the end of her life and the support given to her family. Thanks to the staff of 3B and the Cancer Clinic. Thank you to Judy’s nieces: Kimberley Marcotte and Shelly Davison for your friendship with Judy over the years.
As per Judy’s request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
