After years in the planning stages, the Holy Trinity Church on Northern Avenue is coming down.
The church is being demolished to make way for a new high-rise apartment building with 108 units.
Construction is expected to begin soon on the 9 storey building. Two townhouse , part of the Cara Community will also be demolished .
It is not known when the new building will be completed.
This project is one of many new apartment buildings currently under construction in the city. Others include a new five storey complex on lower Pim Street, along with several 6 storey buildings planned for upper Pine Street near Second Line East.
