On August 9, 2023, officers with Patrol Services charged 55-year-old Andrew Boyer with dangerous operation, possession of property obtained by crime, and two offences under the Highway Traffic Act.
Around 6:30 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of someone driving a stolen vehicle in a dangerous manner around Lake Street and McNabb Street. Officers were dispatched to the area.
Investigation revealed the driver was travelling at excessive speeds and driving over lawns and curbs on residential streets before exiting the vehicle and fleeing on foot. Officers located a person matching the driver’s description nearby and identified them as the accused. They were arrested.
The accused is charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Dangerous Operation
- Driving While Under Suspension x2 (under the Highway Traffic Act)
The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
