After years of anticipation, The Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto will finally open its doors the following week.
The Vegas-style casino is the biggest in Canada and among the biggest in North America, with 328,000 square feet of gaming space, 4,800 slot machines, and 145 table games.
According to a news release from Great Canadian Entertainment, the entertainment venue will provide a variety of gaming experiences, private VIP areas, and “state-of-the-art sports betting kiosks.”
The resort will be close to the intersection of Highways 401 and 427, next to Woodbine Racecourse, and it will have a 400-room hotel, a 5,000-person live entertainment facility, and a number of on-site culinary options.
On the casino’s gaming floor, there is a PlaySmart Centre that offers interactive tools and resources for responsible gambling to all players.
The huge casino resort, one of the province’s greatest private sector ventures to date with an estimated $1 billion in investment, is projected to have an economic impact of over $500 million.
Up to the opening of the brand-new Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, which takes place on Tuesday, June 20 at 5 p.m., Casino Woodbine will remain open.
The brand-new casino resort will be located at 555 Rexdale Blvd.
