Superior Heights to present “Amped Up: Vol. 2”, a musical talent show, on May 1st 2024 at 7pm.
Superior Heights Collegiate and Vocational school’s music department will be holding its third annual student-run “AMPED UP!” musical talent show from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1st in the high school’s cafeteria.
This season’s theme is Retro and will feature a wide range of student acts, including solos, duets, choir, and full rock band performances.
Admission to the event is free, with donations accepted at the door.
All proceeds will benefit the school’s music department through the purchase of new equipment and an ongoing recording project.
Attendees can enjoy Superior Bakery Donuts, hot chocolate, and coffee available for purchase at the event.
“It is an honor to take on the responsibility of organizing such an exciting event, alongside my friends,” wrote Elisabeth Guillermo, a Superior Heights sophomore and one of the event’s organizers, in a release. “We have thoroughly enjoyed orchestrating every aspect, from its beginning to the upcoming day of performances. You can expect a stage filled with passion and energy, where students can freely express their creativity. It’s going to be an unforgettable experience and core memory for both performers, crew members, and the audience.”
Ms. Cormier, a teacher at Superior Heights and one of the mentors helping to organize the event remarked: “This event is not just a showcase of talent, but a celebration of the hard work and dedication of our students. It’s inspiring to see them come together to create something so special, and I have no doubt that this season’s “Amped Up: Vol. 2” will be a night to remember.”
“During the event, we’ll take a short break between performances. It’s the perfect time for the audience to mingle with the performers or grab some goodies from our bake sale.” wrote Elisabeth Guillermo.
Members of the community are all welcome to attend the event on May 1st for a night of nostalgia and incredible talent!
