Alger County communities’ landline phones experience issues calling 911 – again

ALGER COUNTY, Mich. (WJMN) — Once again, landline phones are again experience challenges in connecting with 911 in two Alger County communities, according to Sheriff Brock’s office.

In an announcement made on Tuesday, it has been indicated that the outage is apparently only affecting TDS Telecom customers, however anyone affected who requires assistance is advised to call dispatch directly at (906) 387-7030.

Previously a similar problem was reported on Jan. 10 and was resolved thereafter. The Alger County Sheriff’s Office expects to issue an update in the near future.
