Accused Hit, Attempted to Bite When Theft Goes Bad

On July 16, 2023, officers with Patrol Services charged 42-year-old Lisa Lund with robbery and numerous weapons offences.

Around 1:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a theft at a business in the 0-100 block of Great Northern Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered the accused had placed items in their bag without paying and, when confronted by an employee, had hit them and attempted to bite them.

Officers located the accused, and they were arrested. A search found the accused to be in possession of pepper spray and a knife.

The accused is charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon x2
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose x2

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on September 18, 2023.
