8 Counts of Theft

On February 28, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 27-year-old Aaron Kerr with eight counts of theft under $5,000.

Between January 13-30, 2024, Sault Police received eight reports of the accused stealing items from three local businesses – one in the 200 block of Second Line West, one in the 200 block of Bay Street, and one in the 600 block of Great Northern Road. Investigation revealed the accused committed theft under $5,000 on eight separate occasions, totaling $1,282.85 of stolen goods.

While patrolling Albert Street East, officers located and arrested the accused. During a subsequent search, the accused was found to have someone else’s bank cards and identification. The bank cards and identification were returned to their rightful owners.

The accused is charged with:

  • Theft under $5,000 x8
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Possession of Credit Card
  • Failure to Comply with Undertaking
  • Failure to Comply with Appearance Notice

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
