On May 7, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 22-year-old Reno White with aggravated assault and failure to comply with a probation order.
Around 6:30 p.m. on April 25, 2024, 911 Communicators received a report of an assault at a business in the 600 block of Great Northern Road. Officers were dispatched to the business, where it was determined a victim had been physically attacked by someone unknown to them. The victim sustained serious physical injuries and was taken to hospital prior to officers’ arrival.
An investigation identified the accused as the person who had committed the assault and a warrant was obtained for their arrest. The accused was in custody at Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre (ATRC) after being arrested by Anishinabek Police Service on an unrelated warrant. Officers attended ATRC on May 7, 2024, and arrested the accused.
The accused is charged with:
- Aggravated Assault
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order x2
The accused continues to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.
