Women’s Team will take on Lawrence Tech at 2 p.m.
Due to unforeseen weather conditions, Sault College regrets to inform you that the University of Cincinnati will not be able to participate in the Winter Classic men’s hockey game scheduled for tomorrow, January 13, 2024, at 7 p.m. at the Northern Community Centre (NCC).
However, the exciting news is that the women’s game is still on. The women’s Cougars, the reigning ACHA Women’s Division 2 National Champions with a perfect record, will face off against Lawrence Tech at 2 p.m. Organizers encourage everyone to come out and support their incredible women’s team as they continue their pursuit of excellence on the ice.
“While we share in the disappointment of the men’s game cancellation, we are thrilled to focus our support and energy on cheering for our women’s team.” a release stated.
Tickets purchased for the event will still provide entry to the women’s game. Tickets will also be available at the door for $10. Sault College students and children under 12 can attend for free.
