On August 4, 2023, officers with Patrol Services charged 19-year-old Jessie Caithcart with robbery and weapon offences.
On July 25, 2023, 911 Communicators received a report of a robbery at a business in the 0-100 block of Great Northern Road. Officers were dispatched to the location.
Investigation revealed the suspect threatened an employee with a pocketknife when they were asked to return property they had not paid for. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. Officers identified the suspect as the accused but were unable to locate them at that time and a warrant was sought.
On August 4, 2023, officers located the accused in the 200 block of McNabb Street, and they were arrested on the strength of a warrant.
The accused is charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Robbery
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on October 16, 2023.
