Weapons Charges In Grace Street Incident

On May 27, 2024, officers with Patrol Services, with assistance from the Emergency Services Unit, charged 34-year-old David Dyni with using a firearm while committing an offence, carrying a concealed weapon, and several other offences.

Shortly before midnight on May 26, 911 Communicators received a report of someone appearing to have a firearm in the area of Grace Street and Elgin Street. Officers were dispatched to the area. An investigation revealed the accused had gotten into an argument with someone known to them, pulled a firearm from their waistband, threatened them with the firearm, and began walking toward the victim before turning around and walking away.

Officers secured the area and attended the accused’s residence in the 0-100 block of Grace Street. They were arrested without incident. At this time, the firearm has not been recovered.

The accused is charged with:

  • Firearm – Use While Committing Offence
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Carrying Concealed Weapon
  • Uttering Threats

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

  1. Likely a bb pistol, the amount of losers acting up in the village is getting exponentially bigger by the day. No doubt there is more serious violence to come, and it won’t be long.
    Too many mentally unstable people running around unchecked, and the government shoulders much of the blame by making everything so unaffordable for many.
    Corrupt Trudeau must go, asap.
