On August 2, 2023, officers with Patrol Services charged 26-year-old David Kennedy with pointing a firearm, among other charges.
Around 6:30 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of an argument on Queen Street West at James Street in which a gun was involved. Upon arrival, officers located someone matching the description of the person with the gun and identified them as the accused.
Further investigation revealed the accused had pointed the weapon at the victim during their argument. The accused was arrested.
The accused is charged with:
- Pointing a Firearm
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Uttering Threats
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on October 16, 2023.
