On July 18, 2023, officers with Patrol Services charged 25-year-old Norman Shaganash with uttering threats and mischief.
Around 1:00 p.m., patrol officers were flagged down by a transit worker on Conmee Avenue. The worker reported a person, later identified as the accused, had thrown a bottle multiple times at a bus window, damaging it, and had verbally threatened to cause harm to the victim.
Officers located the accused nearby and developed grounds to believe they were the suspect described by the victim. They were placed under investigative detention. At this time, the accused also threatened an officer. They were then arrested.
The accused is charged with:
- Uttering Threats x2
- Mischief Under $5,000
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on September 18, 2023.
