The Sault Climate Hub is hosting a webinar on Electric Vehicles

The Sault Climate Hub will be hosting a webinar as part of their monthly presentation series on Wednesday, November 29th at 7:30 pm.

Electric Vehicles are increasingly popular in Canada as well as the rest of the world and now represent over 10% of new light duty vehicle sales in Canada. This webinar will review the basics of EVs, explain how they differ from internal combustion engine vehicles and demystify some of the misinformation that is circulating. You will see why EVs are a better choice for you and the environment.

Raymond Leury is the President of the Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa. He bought his first EV 10 years ago and now retired from an Information Technology career he spends much of his time researching and advocating for EVs from light duty to medium and heavy-duty vehicles. This work led to a successful campaign to get the Ottawa-Carleton Regional Transit Commission to transition to e-buses.

Michael Banks is the Vice President of the Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa. He has an Aviation Technology diploma from Sault College, a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy from Carleton University, and now works for Statistics Canada. Mike bought his first electric vehicle in 2017 and spends part of his free time researching and advocating for clean energy alternatives to fossil fuels.
