On July 10, 2023, officers with Patrol Services charged 19-year-old Tyrel Raddatz with operation while impaired (blood alcohol concentration 80+).

Around 1:00 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of an unconscious driver at an intersection on Carmen’s Way. Officers were dispatched to the location. Upon arrival, they observed the vehicle described in the report stopped at an intersection. The vehicle did not move despite the traffic light turning green and cycling through to red again.

Officers attempted to speak with the driver, who was minimally responsive. Officers developed grounds to believe their ability to operate a vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

The accused was arrested and later provided two samples into an approved screening device. Both samples were above the legal limit.

The accused is charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and/or Drug
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80+)

The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on September 11, 2023.
