On August 16, 2023, at approximately 2:30 p.m. the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a person in relation to a suspicious person and vehicle occurrence on August 15, 2023 in Thessalon.
On August 15, the complainant reported a 9-year-old was fishing at the river and approached by a male driving a yellow Camaro. The youth was located a short time later in the car with the male driver. A description of the vehicle and male driver were provided and police later located both in Sault Ste. Marie.
Manoj GOVINDBALUNIKAM, 35-years-old from Brampton was arrested and charged with Abduction of person under 14 – take or entice.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Sault Ste. Marie on August 17, 2023.
Very fishy circumstances judging by released details. Haven’t really said if this guy is a total stranger. Why didn’t the guy take off with the kid before being approached by supposed parents?
