Search for New Deputy CAO Begins…

With Tom Vair moving in the Chief Administrator Officer’s chair beginning Feb. 1, the City of Sault Ste. Marie will have a vacancy, namely the position of Deputy CAO.

Corporate Communications Officer Tessa Vecchio says January will mark a transition period, as Malcolm White assists Vair in preparation for assuming the position.

Vecchio says the vacant Deputy CAO position will be posted, and there will be application screenings, interviews, assessment exercises and reference checks. The process, says Vecchio, culminating in appointment, is likely to take a few months.
