A person matching the description reported has been detained under the Mental Health Act. During a search officers located knives, a hatchet and a hammer.

Officers with Patrol Services, along with members of the Emergency Services Unit are currently on scene at the Sault Ste. Marie Airport.
The airport is currently locked down after 911 Communicators received a report of someone armed with a weapon in the area.
No physical injuries have been reported.
This is an active scene and community members are urged to avoid the area to allow officers to conduct the investigation.
