Robbery Charge Laid

On February 15, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 39-year-old Christopher Rivard with robbery, assault with a weapon, and several other offences.

Around 7:00 a.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a robbery in the 100 block of Great Northern Road. It was reported the accused broke into the victim’s vehicle and stole items and, when confronted, attempted to hit the victim with a baseball bat.

Although the accused left the scene prior to officers’ arrival, they were quickly located in the 100 block of Oryme Street and arrested. A subsequent search found the accused to be in possession of stolen mail from the 0-100 block of Great Northern Road.

The accused is charged with:

  • Robbery with Theft
  • Assault with Weapon
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5,000 x2
  • Theft from Mail – Sent by Post
  • Failure to Comply with Probation Order x3
  • Failure to Comply with Release Order – Other Than to Attend Court
  • Failure to Attend Court While on Release Order

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

  1. This guy! Again?! Notice they are getting older, a decade ago this guy was being charged with similar, some just won’t graduate out of thug life.
