On July 25, 2023, officers with Patrol Services charged 24-year-old Nicholas Jones with robbery.
Around 1:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a robbery at a business in the 600 block of Trunk Road. Officers were dispatched to the location. Investigation revealed someone, later identified as the accused, had attempted to leave without paying for several items . When confronted by a staff member, the accused made a threatening gesture with a utility knife and left.
Officers located the accused, who matched the description provided by witnesses, nearby and they were arrested.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on September 25, 2023.
