A Sault Ste. Marie man is dead after falling from the 14th floor of an apartment building downtown on Thursday afternoon.
Sault Police, Fire Services and EMS along with the Forensics unit were dispatched to 70 East Street early Thursday afternoon following reports of a sudden death.
According to residents in the building the man, who has not been named, fell from the 14th floor of the 17 floor highrise apartment building at the corner of East and Bay Street.
“Officers did respond to and are conducting a sudden death investigation after an incident in the 0-100 block of East Street.” Lincoln Louttit, communications manager for the Sault Police Service.” The investigation is ongoing. This is not an incident police will be releasing further information on.”
