TSB investigators are on their way to northern Ontario after an aircraft which is owned and operated by Thunder Airlines Limited was destroyed in a crash Monday morning.

TSB spokesperson Liam MacDonald wrote in an email that the crash occurred Monday morning at Wawa municipal airport. According to a news release from the Transportation Safety Board (TSB), the crash “resulted in a landing accident”.

At the time of the crash, the aircraft was operating like an air ambulance, transporting non-emergent patients. MacDonald wrote that the aircraft was the only one involved in the crash, and that it was destroyed. There are no injuries to report. That’s all the information the TSB can provide at this time.
