One Charged with Robbery, Multiple Weapon Offences

On October 8, 2023, officers with Patrol Services charged 41-year-old Colin Greenan with robbery and several other offences.

Around 10:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of a robbery at a business in the 0-100 block of Great Northern Road. Officers were dispatched to the area and located a person matching the suspect’s description in the 200 block of McNabb Street. Officers approached the suspect and they attempted to evade arrest by running across the street. They were arrested.

Further investigation revealed the accused had left the business with a basket of more than $160 worth of items they did not pay for. When confronted by staff, the accused pulled out a knife, threatened them, and ran away.

The accused is charged with: Robbery with Weapon , Unauthorized Possession of Weapon , Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose , Carrying Concealed Weapon, Possession of Prohibited Weapon Contrary to Prohibition Order , Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5,000, Failure to Comply with Probation Order, Failure to Comply with Judicial Release Order

The accused was held in custody pending a hearing in Weekend and Statutory Holiday court.
