On September 15, 2023, officers with Patrol Services charged 29-year-old Michael Rivers with multiple drug offences.
The accused was in police custody on outstanding warrants. During a subsequent search of the accused, they were found to be in possession of approximately 20 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine, approximately 18 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl, and approximately 14 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine. The total value of drugs seized is estimated to be roughly $11,000.
The accused is charged with:
- Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x3
- Failure to Comply with Judicial Release Order x3
The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
