One Charged with Assaulting Peace Officer

On May 10, 2024, officers with Patrol Services charged 45-year-old Jeremy Diotte with assault, assault with weapon, assault peace officer, and resist peace officer.

Around 2:00 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of an unwanted person at a residence in the 0-100 block of Arbour Drive. Upon arrival, officers learned the accused had assaulted two victims who are known to them by punching, pushing, and throwing an object at them in the days prior.

Officers advised the accused they were under arrest, which they ignored. When officers attempted to take physical control of the accused, the accused lunged at and bit them. Officers gained physical control of the accused and, despite continued resistance, they were arrested.

The accused is charged with:

  • Assault Peace Officer
  • Assault with Weapon
  • Assault x2
  • Resist Peace Officer

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
