Most years Sault Ste. Marie becomes snow-less by April 12th, give or take a day or two. This year we are way ahead of schedule. Recent data from Environment Canada confirms that this has been the warmest winter on record – a trend that has been building for decades. The warming trend continues this week and weekend, although we will drop to seasonal values by Sunday. Right now we are looking at temperatures hovering around the 10c mark with a mix of sun and cloud. A disturbance will try to move in Saturday giving us mixed precipitation – no accumulating is expected.
