MONTGOMERY, Bonnie Sue

It’s Me

When the sun breaks through the clouds

And a warm beam shines down upon your face,

It’s me reaching out from Heaven to touch your cheeks

And whisper, “I’m alright.”

When a gentle breeze finds you and

Refreshes your mind and body,

It’s me caressing you and reminding you,

“You’re alright too.”

– Kelly Roper

The world lost a beloved mother, Bonnie Sue Montgomery, on January 25, 2024, at the age of 71, after a valiant battle with Glioblastoma, surrounded by loving family at ARCH.  No matter how sick she was, it did not stop her from giving out the best hugs.

Friend and loving soulmate of Tim Candido.

Loving and devoted mother of Cindy (Darren), Kari (Barry), Paul (Trish) and April (Chris).

Adored Gran of Tyler, Whitney, Ashley (Justin), Austin, Patrick and Dakota.  Special Great Granny of Lynden, Riverlee, Kashton and Aria. Bonnie is now reunited with her loving parents, Lillian and George Montgomery who she missed terribly. Bonnie is the youngest of four children: Sharron (late Andre), Wayne (Joan), and Roger (Pat). Loving Aunt of several nieces and nephews. Also loved by her sidekick and furry friend, Bella.

Bonnie cared deeply for her friends and extended family, simply because of who she was.  She gave selflessly, offering anything she had to support others.  Her love of baking spanned many years, filling her home with trays of baked goods over the holidays.  She made the best perogies, with a supply always on hand.

Bonnie’s greatest love was her children. And all her children were proud to call her mom.  She was a compassionate woman who cared for others with no judgement.  By her side to the very end, Bonnie cherished the visits by so many.  She will be sadly missed by her dear friend Deb Spadoni and all her friends from the Chippewa River Campground, Lions Club Apartments and the amazing Devils Lake Crew. The family would like to thank all the nurses, PSW’s and doctors at Sault Area Hospital 2C as well as our angels at ARCH for taking exceptional care of our beloved mother.

“There are no goodbyes for us.”
