Large Police Presence in the P-Patch , Person Arrested

Sault Ste. Marie Police Services confirm to FirstLocalNews.com that one person has been arrested in connection to a large Police presence on Princess crescent Wednesday evening .

Chelsey Foucher, Corporate Communications with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service tells FirstLocalNews the Police can not release many details due to the nature of the case (intimate partner violence).

“Sault Police Services typically do not release due to the risk of identifying the victim”, Foucher said in an email. ” I can confirm that the large police presence was a precaution in conducting the arrest of an adult”

The adult is charged with:

  • Uttering Threats x5
  • Assault x5
  • Assault with a Weapon x2
  • Assault – Choking
  • Mischief

The accused was arrested without incident. They are being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
