LAJEUNESSE, Fabian

Passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

Loving and devoted husband of Paula (nee Folz) for almost 40 years. Cherished dad of Shawna (Louie), Sonja (Nick) and precious furbaby Teddy. Beloved grumpa of Savannah, Logan, Ella, Haven and Alice. Much loved brother-in-law of Tammy Webb (Rick), Patti Moreau (Glenn), Terry Folz (Rose) and Shawn Folz (Heather). Predeceased by his parents Alger and Beatrice Lajeunesse, his in-laws Patrick and Shirley Folz and his siblings David and Sherron. He is survived by his sister Joan. He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Fabian lived and breathed his career at the Huron Central Railway, especially the history of the Railway. Even with his extreme love for his job, his family always came first. He never missed the chance to take care of them, whether it was bringing them a drink, taking care of them while they were sick, or taking the time to be with them whenever he could. He always knew what people needed even before they did. Fabian was known to everyone as ‘Mr. Fix-It’. If there was anything that needed to be built or fixed, he was your go-to guy. He was an avid outdoorsman with a special love for his animal friends. He always made sure to share these passions with his beloved grandchildren, they took him on many adventures. Fabian will be especially remembered for his amazing sense of humor and his legendary pranks.

Fabian will be especially missed by all those at Lakeside Campground, his two besties and drinking buddies Glenn, Terry and Shawn along with his fellow co-workers at Huron Central Railway.

A special thanks to Sergeant Dave Doucette for his compassion and care in these hard times. The family would also like to thank Dave Husband (aka Junior), Tom Alcock and Greg Beharriell for their quick thinking and actions.
